thWest Coast Hockey Prep Camp congratulates Barry Smith on winning the 2014/2015 NHL Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks! Smith has served as the Director of Player Development for the past four seasons and previously as European Development Advisor and as a pro scout. As an integral part of the Blackhawks organization, this latest Stanley Cup Championship win is his seventh in his career.

Beginning his coaching career at Elmira College in 1974, coach Smith’s extensive resume includes: assistant/associate coach with the NHL Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Phoenix Coyotes, and Vancouver Canucks winning 5 Cups along the way. In addition, Smith has also coached SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL, HC Lugano in the Swiss NLA, Head Coach in the Swedish Elite League, part of Team USA and Sweden for World Cups, and associate coach in the 1998 Olympics.

We have been thrilled to have Coach Smith and his incredible hockey expertise with us at Prep Camp, and we are excited for Smith to join us in Week 3 this summer. He is also offering a seminar for local minor hockey coaches while at camp.

Come meet Coach Smith and congratulate him on the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup win!
