Jaden Schmeisser Prep CampThe West Coast Hockey Prep Camp congratulates long time camper and player Jaden Schmeisser as he has accepted a scholarship to play for the University of Minnesota State Mavericks at Mankato for the 2014-15 season.  Jaden, a defenseman, has been training at camp for the past four years.  His hockey career to date has seen stints with the MMML North Island Silvertips.  He has played Junior B with the Saanich Braves and Oceanside Generals.  His Junior A career has been mostly with the Victoria Grizzlies.  Jaden has also had short stints with the Alberni Valley Bulldogs, Coquitlam Express, and West Kelowna Warriors.  In the 2013-14 season Jaden start with the West Kelowna Warriors before being traded back to the Grizzlies who he played for in 2012-13. This past season Jaden collected 7 goals and 22 assists in 42 games.   In 14 playoff games he had 6 goals and 6 assists.  His new team plays in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Interestingly he will face off against a group of West Coast Hockey Prep Camp players in NCAA Division I play.  Those players are Brent Baltus-Michigan Tech, Leo, Gerry, and Myles Fitzgerald at Bemidji State and Robert Lindores at Northern Michigan University.  All of these players with a host of other collegiate players will be back at camp with Jaden during the August 4th NCAA camp.  Congratulations to Jaden.
