We invite top level committed players from Pee Wee to College/University to apply to participate in the Elite Female Showcase and Hockey Development Camp. Our participants are evaluated on their skills and their desire to advance their abilities and their hockey careers. We show players what it takes both on and off the ice to maximize their potential.  We help individual players identify opportunities with reputable teams and programs in both Canada and the United States. Our network is available to Prep Camp participants year-round.  There are typically 8-12 CIS and NCAA coaches coaching and scouting players at camp.

You may register as an individual player, or a private group.  Due to the excellent set up of camp, the dorms, and our infrastructure we are also able to accommodate large private groups.  If booked in the early fall we can accommodate: National Teams, Select teams, and private groups organized by influencers in the hockey community.  In order to reserve 2 ice sessions per day, these groups must consist of 25-30 skaters and 2-4 goalies, or meet a gross revenue target.  Please contact Director Nate Leslie at nate@lgsports.ca to inquire about a private group program.

Age Groups:

  • Pee Wee: $609 (includes lunch and light snacks)
  • 2005 Bantam: $609
  • 2004 Bantam: $609
  • Midget: $609
  • Varsity: $609 (MUST have played a full season of Major Midget or higher.  CSSHL Varsity players will be grouped at camp discretion in either U18 or Varsity.  CSSHL Prep Division players will automatically qualify for Varsity)
  • Reminder: Check in 3-6pm on Sunday before camp.
  • *DISCLAIMER: It is well documented that top level female players often compete far above the level of their age group and peers. We reserve the right to move exceptional players to a group that is the best fit for the camp, and for all players.  As an example, underage U18 Team BC players would qualify for Varsity.

Hi Team Prep Camp, just wanted to let you know our daughter made her PeeWee Rep team with lots of compliments on how much she improved over the summer and to thank you for being a big part of that!  Darcy Forcier, Abbotsford Female Hockey Association President

Just wanting to share how much our daughter Sophie enjoyed your camps. Sophie just finished her 2nd year of University at UVIC and continues to play recreational hockey.  Thank you to all the skilled, talented, hardworking, dedication and caring staff.  Sophie has aged out of your camps. We miss them as Sophie made many new friends and we had hockey girls stay with us over the years.  We will cherish the memories of Nate Leslie Camps.  – Lisa, Hubert and Sophie Vanderlee

Female Week in the local Shaw News

“The first words out of Lauren’s mouth when she was picked up from the ferry were, “can I please go again next year?” Lauren nearly made the Bantam A team as a first year (but has been kept on as an affiliated player), which is an increased level of success for her, and this was due, in part, to the skills learned and fitness gained at the camp.” Bowen Sly, North Vancouver, BC

Playing hockey has always been a major passion in my life. It’s not even just the sport, it’s the bonds that are made through teams – meeting those girls who are still major factors in my life. Being able to play a sport you love with your best friends is indescribable. But playing it at such an elite level is utterly amazing. This past summer I went through a lot of different elite training camps.  The one camp though that had the biggest impact on me and my level of skill was definitely the “West Coast Hockey Prep Camp” in Port Alberni. This camp had every type of training you could imagine from on-ice to off-ice (which was extremely exhausting but very rewarding) to mental preparation seminars. This camp helped to boost my confidence level way up. I would not be anywhere near the place I am in today if it wasn’t for this camp.  Courtney Weatherbie (York University)

My daughter’s commitment and dedication to the game encourages us to continue to support her dream of playing major midget hockey. Nathan Leslie made it easy to send her away. Constant communication, pick up and drop off at the ferry – safe environment, good food and great training! Courtney emailed nightly about how great the program is and that she wished she could train in Port Alberni year round… Ryan Walter spent an extra few minutes with Courtney one-on-one on the ice simply because she asked a very good question. Those few minutes have made an amazing difference on those two on ones! Thanks Ryan!  Thank you Nate for providing a program that works!  Sandra Weatherbie
