Goaltending Coaches

 

The Junior Prep Hockey Camp is pleased to announce that Brady Robinson from GDI (Goaltenders Development Institute) will again manage goaltending instruction.

Brady Robinson

Brady Robinson has been actively involved with GDI for the past fourteen years. Originally, a student, he has now instructed with GDI for more than a decade.  Brady is the current goaltending coach of the WHL's Chilliwack Bruins and is the goaltending consultant with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL. He has been integral in the development of GDI's regional curriculums and deployment. From a playing perspective, Brady grew up in the BC Kootenay region playing his minor hockey and much of his Junior hockey in Trail. He was protected by the Tri-City Americans of the WHL but elected to play Junior A with the Smoke Eaters of the BCHL. Brady is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge (Kinesiology).  Along with being GDI's most senior instructor/coach, Brady has been the head Goaltending Coach for the Home of Champions Hockey School also located in Trail.

Lynden Sammartino

Lynden Sammartino has been involved with GDI for the past three years, both as a student and as an instructor at GDI's summer camps. He is now in the role of Assistant Regional Manager for GDI BC.  Lynden's junior career started with the Ridge Meadow Flames of the PIJHL. After one season with the Flames, Lynden cracked the Yorkton Terrier's line up of the Saskatchewan Junior A Hockey League. He played three years with the Terriers, winning an SJHL championship, going to the Royal Bank Cup, and breaking the leagues career shutout record. Lynden had opportunities to play at the university level as well as semi-pro but elected to follow his new passion as a coach and join GDI.
